Families Are Forever

Where It Begins

"To you women of today...may I suggest that you write, that you keep journals, that you
express your thoughts on paper. Writing is a great discipline. It is a tremendous
educational effort. It will assist you in various ways, and you will bless the lives of many...
as you put on paper some of your experiences and some of your musings." (Gordon B. Hinckley)

These past few years have come with many changes:

married life, a new location, new job, new major, a new life...

All of which have been altering my views on who I am and where I fit into this world I have created for myself. It has changed both my mind and spirit. I say both mind and spirit because although the two are connected, they think completely differently and often contradict one another.

As I blog over the course of the next few...however long I decide to blog for, I hope to share my personal moments of life experiences.

Where I Am In Life

I am 22 years old, living in the multicultural big city of San Francisco. A place of no parking, fog, and natural gurus; but, most importantly, a place of life experience:

love, sadness, laughing, crying, opportunities, disappointments, blessings, aloneness, friendships
lack of understanding, knowledge

I work full time at a dental office as a front desk, financial coordinator, and non register dental assistant. I am finishing up my bachelors degree in Family Life; which has taught me a great deal about life, marriage, relationships, children, sewing, cooking, and nutrition. The direct career linked to this degree is becoming the CEO of the Malan Household, mother of... I'm not sure how many kids yet.

LoVe of My LiFe:

My husband Brandon: 26 years old, dental student at UCSF, hard worker, inquisitive individual, loves hiking, biking, tennis, and me
